| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Jack R. Haskins of Hampton, who passed |
| 4 | | away on December 1, 2020; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jack Haskins was born to Chester and Marjorie |
| 6 | | (Weckel) Haskins in Rock Island on July 27, 1935; he graduated |
| 7 | | from Port Byron High School and served honorably as a corporal |
| 8 | | in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War; he married |
| 9 | | Grace B. Wise at the Hampton United Methodist Church on June 6, |
| 10 | | 1958, and she preceded him in death on April 6, 2015; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Jack Haskins worked for ALCOA for 42 years; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Jack Haskins loved fishing, mushroom hunting, |
| 13 | | golfing, bowling, and playing cards with his grandchildren; he |
| 14 | | was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Jack Haskins was preceded in death by his wife; |
| 16 | | his parents; his sister, Joan Tolliver; and his brother, Louis |
| 17 | | "Lee" Haskins; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Jack Haskins is survived by his children, Scott |
| 19 | | Haskins, Peggy McLaughlin, Jack Haskins Jr., Terry Haskins, |
| 20 | | Jerry Haskins, and Mike Haskins; his sister, Joyce Reiling; his |
