SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Patricia Ann "Pat" (Giertsen) Bruce of 
4Lake Bluff, who passed away on January 28, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Pat Bruce was born on January 17, 1931; she was a 
6long-time resident of the Lake Bluff and Lake Forest 
7communities; she married William Bruce and became a stepmother 
8to his three children; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Pat Bruce was will be greatly missed for her warm 
10smile and comforting kindness; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Pat Bruce is survived by her husband, William 
12Bruce; her children, Melville Gordon Lackie, Scott Sutton 
13(Lura) Lackie, Jeffrey Allen (Ann) Lackie, Robert Hamilton 
14(Lucy) Lackie, and Lori Lemme; her step-children, Susan Diane 
15(Douglas) Pomatto, Beverly Darlene (Richard) Leach, and David 
16Andrew (Meredith) Bruce; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Sutton 
17(Christian)  Iantoni, Timothy Scott (Bridget) Lackie, 
18Christopher Ladd Lackie, David Robert Lackie, Katherine Louise 
19Lackie, Evan Jeffrey Lackie, and Jessica Lemme (Lucas) Weis; 
20her great-grandchildren, Anna Iantoni, Luca Iantoni, Jane 
21Lackie, and George Lackie; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Patricia Ann "Pat" (Giertsen) Bruce and extend our sincere 
4condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
5her; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Pat Bruce as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
