| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Charles Arlie Peterson of Milan, who |
| 4 | | passed away on January 27, 2020; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Arlie Peterson was born in Scotland County, |
| 6 | | Missouri to Charles Henry and Drucilla Price Peterson on |
| 7 | | November 11, 1933; he served in the U.S. Army and married Doris |
| 8 | | Irene Pinson in Missouri on June 15, 1953; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Arlie Peterson worked as a general mechanic for |
| 10 | | Alcoa for 36 years, retiring in 2000; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Arlie Peterson was a member of the Edgewood |
| 12 | | Baptist Church in Rock Island; he enjoyed gardening, splitting |
| 13 | | wood, and being a father to his two sons, whom he taught to |
| 14 | | hunt; he also enjoyed taking the family on fishing vacations; |
| 15 | | and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Arlie Peterson was preceded in death by his wife, |
| 17 | | Doris, and his parents; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Arlie Peterson is survived by his sons, Dave |
| 19 | | (Cindy) and Albert (Sandi) Peterson; his grandchildren, Kelly, |
| 20 | | Kristin, Mary Ann, Mindy, Craig, and Ashley; his |
