| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Michael J. "Mike" Wildman of Monticello, |
| 4 | | who passed away on April 1, 2019; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mike Wildman was born in Decatur to Roger L. and |
| 6 | | Phyllis (Huffmaster) Wildman on June 17, 1960; he graduated |
| 7 | | from Sullivan High School in 1978, where he participated in |
| 8 | | golf, baseball, football, and basketball; his senior year he |
| 9 | | participated in the Illinois High School Association state |
| 10 | | basketball tournament in Champaign; he graduated from Purdue |
| 11 | | University in 1982 and married Dawn Vannice in August of 1982; |
| 12 | | he married Ann Power at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Champaign |
| 13 | | on June 16, 1990; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Mike Wildman was a department head for The Home |
| 15 | | Depot; he served as Monticello Township Supervisor; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Mike Wildman was a member of the National Rifle |
| 17 | | Association, the Purdue Alumni Association, the Piatt County |
| 18 | | Republican Party, and St. Philomena Catholic Church in |
| 19 | | Monticello; he enjoyed golfing, building models, and watching |
| 20 | | old Westerns; he was a sports fan and an avid fan of the |
| 21 | | Illini; he was also a history buff; he coached all his children |
| 22 | | in youth sports and enjoyed watching them grow in whatever they |
