Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that the Department of Natural Resources shall, by rule, provide for a number of Wild Turkey Hunting Permits to be set aside specifically for wild turkey outfitters operating in this State with a valid outfitter permit. Authorizes wild turkey outfitters to provide these permits to customers in the course of providing outfitting services. Provides that nothing shall prohibit a wild turkey outfitter from scheduling hunts with persons holding permits not otherwise provided by the outfitter.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Wildlife Code is amended by adding Section |
| 5 | | 3.1-3a as follows:
|
| 6 | | (520 ILCS 5/3.1-3a new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 3.1-3a. Turkey outfitter hunting permits. In addition |
| 8 | | to Wild Turkey Hunting Permits as provided by the Department |
| 9 | | under Section 2.11, the Department shall, by rule, also provide |
| 10 | | for a number of Wild Turkey Hunting Permits to be set aside |
| 11 | | specifically for wild turkey outfitters operating in this State |
| 12 | | with a valid outfitter permit. A wild turkey outfitter |
| 13 | | receiving Wild Turkey Hunting Permits under this Section shall |
| 14 | | be authorized to provide these permits to customers in the |
| 15 | | course of providing outfitting services. Nothing in this |
| 16 | | Section shall prohibit a wild turkey outfitter from scheduling |
| 17 | | hunts with persons holding permits not otherwise provided by |
| 18 | | the outfitter.
