| 2 | | WHEREAS, It is highly fitting to commend the heroic efforts |
| 3 | | of those individuals who have made a difference in the lives of |
| 4 | | others; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, On May 7, 2018, Officer Jennifer Larsen of the St. |
| 6 | | Charles Police was dispatched to assist an ambulance with a |
| 7 | | child victim; upon arriving, she took control of the situation |
| 8 | | and immediately assessed the child's condition; due to her fast |
| 9 | | thinking and decisive actions, she used the right skills and |
| 10 | | training to
successfully save the young child; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Officer Larsen's character was truly exemplary |
| 12 | | for such a stressful event; she remained calm and used
her |
| 13 | | skills, training, and knowledge to navigate the emergency; her |
| 14 | | level of commitment to her community and her professionalism |
| 15 | | are
exemplary and have made her a valuable member of the St. |
| 16 | | Charles Police Force, as well as a
leader in the community; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, The City of St. Charles is incredibly thankful to |
| 18 | | have her in their community; each day, she gives her best to |
| 19 | | the entire community and the residents; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Officer Larsen was recognized as the Kane County |
| 21 | | Officer of the Year; therefore, be it
