HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, It is highly fitting to commend the heroic efforts 
3of those individuals who have made a difference in the lives of 
4others; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, On May 7, 2018, Officer Jennifer Larsen of the St. 
6Charles Police was dispatched to assist an ambulance with a 
7child victim; upon arriving, she took control of the situation 
8and immediately assessed the child's condition; due to her fast 
9thinking and decisive actions, she used the right skills and 
10training to
successfully save the young child; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Officer Larsen's character was truly exemplary 
12for such a stressful event; she remained calm and used
her 
13skills, training, and knowledge to navigate the emergency; her 
14level of commitment to her community and her professionalism 
15are
exemplary and have made her a valuable member of the St. 
16Charles Police Force, as well as a
leader in the community; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, The City of St. Charles is incredibly thankful to 
18have her in their community; each day, she gives her best to 
19the entire community and the residents; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Officer Larsen was recognized as the Kane County 
21Officer of the Year; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we commend Officer Jennifer Larsen for her heroic efforts on 
4May 7, 2018 in saving the life of a young child; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to Officer Larsen as a symbol of our respect and 
8esteem.
