Proposes to amend the Suffrage and Elections Article of the Illinois Constitution. Repeals language denying a person convicted of a felony, or otherwise under sentence in a correctional institution or jail, the right to vote until completion of his or her sentence. Effective upon being declared adopted.

| 5 | | SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that there shall be submitted to the |
| 6 | | electors of the State for adoption or rejection at the general |
| 7 | | election next occurring at least 6 months after the adoption of |
| 8 | | this resolution a proposition to amend Section 2 of Article III |
| 9 | | of the Illinois Constitution as follows:

| 13 | | SECTION 2. VOTING DISQUALIFICATIONS (REPEALED)

| 14 | | A person convicted of a felony, or otherwise under sentence |

correctional institution or jail, shall lose the right to |
| 16 | | vote, which
right shall be restored not later than upon |
| 17 | | completion of his sentence.
