Proposes to amend the Executive Article of the Illinois Constitution. Provides that a person may not be elected to any single Executive Branch office for more than two terms in each office; service before the second Monday in January of 2023 shall not be considered in the calculation of a person's service. Effective upon being declared adopted.

| 5 | | SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that there shall be submitted to the |
| 6 | | electors of the State for adoption or rejection at the general |
| 7 | | election next occurring at least 6 months after the adoption of |
| 8 | | this resolution a proposition to amend Section 2 of Article V |
| 9 | | of the Illinois Constitution as follows:

| 11 | | THE EXECUTIVE

| 13 | | SECTION 2. TERMS
|
| 14 | | These elected officers of the Executive Branch shall hold |
| 15 | | office for
four years beginning on the second Monday of January |
| 16 | | after their
election and, except in the case of the Lieutenant |
| 17 | | Governor, until their
successors are qualified. They shall be |
| 18 | | elected at the general election
in 1978 and every four years |
| 19 | | thereafter. A person may not be elected to any single Executive |
| 20 | | Branch office for more than two terms in each office. Service |
| 21 | | before the second Monday in January of 2023 shall not be |
| 22 | | considered in the calculation of a person's service.
