<reference>5 ILCS 140/7</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 116, par. 207</aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Freedom of Information Act. Exempts from inspection and copying interagency or intra-agency memoranda or letters that would not be available by law to a party other than an agency in litigation with the agency. Provides that the exemption does not apply to a record created 25 years or more before the date on which the record is requested.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Senate Committee Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Freedom of Information Act. Exempts from inspection and copying under the Act: (1) materials gathered in connection with a grand jury proceeding or documents contained within the prosecution trial file, except as may be allowed under discovery rules adopted by the Illinois Supreme Court; and (2) records in the possession of a prosecutor that were prepared or compiled by the prosecutor in connection with post-conviction proceedings or any voluntary post-conviction internal review.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
