<SynopsisText>     Proposes to amend the Legislature Article of the Illinois Constitution. Prohibits a person from serving as: (1) a State Representative for more than 4 terms of office; or (2) a State Senator for more than 6 terms of office. Provides that terms of office served before the second Wednesday in January of 2021, or otherwise served before the adoption of the Amendment, shall not be considered in the calculation of a person's service. Applies to the election of General Assembly members in the first general election to occur after the Amendment is declared adopted and thereafter. Specifies that it does not affect the terms of members elected before the Amendment is declared adopted. Effective upon being declared adopted.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
