SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Clovis L. Armstrong of Moline, who passed 
4away on November 28, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Clovis Armstrong was born in Eldridge, Alabama to 
6Ira and Elsie (Tucker) Armstrong on April 12, 1931; he served 
7his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955 and married 
8Brenda Newton in Glasgow, Scotland on October 13, 1954; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Clovis Armstrong worked for Fuller Printing, 
10retiring in 1998; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Clovis Armstrong was preceded in death by his 
12parents; his brother, Clois; his  daughter, Sandy; and his 
13great-grandson, Jescie; and



  
 
14    WHEREAS, Clovis Armstrong is survived by his wife of 64 
15years, Brenda; his children, Phillip L. (Debbie) Armstrong, 
16Michael W. Armstrong, Carol (William) Stillwell, and Debbi 
17Snyder; his brother, Clelland Armstrong; nine grandchildren; 
18and many great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Clovis L. Armstrong and extend our sincere condolences to his 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
