| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Victor W. "Vic" "Grampe" Pavlich, who |
| 4 | | passed away on December 1, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Vic Pavlich was born to Anton and Evelyn |
| 6 | | (Stiglich) Pavlich on December 23, 1928; he was a veteran of |
| 7 | | the United States Army and served in the Korean War; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Vic Pavlich was the Crest Hill Deputy Liquor |
| 9 | | Commissioner and had earlier retired from the Army Corps of |
| 10 | | Engineers; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Vic Pavlich was a member of Cantigny Post #367, |
| 12 | | the Chance Club, and the Joliet Senior Club (table 8); he was |
| 13 | | an active parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church in Crest |
| 14 | | Hill; he volunteered for the Lockport High School Reality |
| 15 | | Program and at the Rialto Theater; he was an avid fan of the |
| 16 | | Chicago Cubs, NASCAR, Homer Mustang Basketball, Lockport |
| 17 | | Porter Basketball, and Providence Celtic Football; he could put |
| 18 | | a smile on anyone's face; two of his greatest joys in life were |
| 19 | | caring for his granddaughter and his great-grandson; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Vic Pavlich was preceded in death by his parents; |
| 21 | | his in-laws, Dominic and Teresa Buffer; and his siblings, |
