| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of William J. "Bill" Ardaugh of Manhattan, |
| 4 | | Illinois, who passed away on August 26, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bill Ardaugh graduated from St. Joseph Grade |
| 6 | | School in 1941 and Joliet Catholic High School in 1945; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Bill Ardaugh worked for Standard Oil until 1965 |
| 8 | | and Uniroyal until his retirement in 1992; during his |
| 9 | | retirement, he began a successful career in real estate; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Bill Ardaugh was an active member of St. Joseph |
| 11 | | Church; he enjoyed many activities, including playing golf and |
| 12 | | cards, vacations at the Lake of the Ozarks, all things Irish |
| 13 | | (including Notre Dame), and swimming at the YMCA; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Bill Ardaugh was preceded in death by his parents, |
| 15 | | Mildred and John Ardaugh; his wife, Beverly Ardaugh; his |
| 16 | | brother, Robert Ardaugh; and his stepfather, Jack Doyle; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Bill Ardaugh is survived by his children, Barbara |
| 18 | | (Thomas) Bolek, Daniel (Cheryl) Ardaugh, Susan (John) Walsh, |
| 19 | | John R. "Jack" Ardaugh, and Carol (David) Mark; his |
| 20 | | grandchildren, Anna (Max) Glen, Christopher (Jennifer) Bolek, |
