SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Stanley D. "Stan" Larson of Moline, who 
4passed away on November 28, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Stan Larson was born in Moline to Donald R. and 
6Viola J. (Peterson) Larson on March 7, 1938; he served in the 
7U.S. Air Force and married Marsha A. Winthurst at Watertown 
8Baptist Church on January 14, 1960; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Stan Larson worked for the Augustana Bookstore, 
10DeSaulniers, and Mid-American Energy; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Stan Larson was a member of Wildwood Church; he 
12enjoyed being outdoors, camping, and golfing; he was an avid 
13fan of the Chicago Cubs; he loved being with his family and 
14being an involved grandparent; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Stan Larson was preceded in death by his parents; 
16his  stepmother, Vernette Larson;  and his stepsister, Rita 
17Smith; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Stan Larson is survived by his wife, Marsha; his 
19children, Julie (Gary) Overmire, Scott (Kathy) Larson, Karen 
20(Dane) Howell, and Leanne (Todd) Larison; eight grandchildren;

1and eight great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Stanley D. "Stan" Larson and extend our sincere condolences to 
5his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Stan Larson as an expression of our 
9deepest sympathy.
