| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Rita F. (Babic) Keefe of Belleville, who |
| 4 | | passed away on February 26, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Rita Keefe was born in Granite City to Walter and |
| 6 | | Bernice (Mendrys) Babic on November 14, 1951; she started |
| 7 | | working at the age of 16, after the death of her father; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Rita Keefe's greatest satisfaction was doing for |
| 9 | | others; she admired kindness and the truth; she believed in the |
| 10 | | importance of a safe, secure, and loving environment and raised |
| 11 | | her children in a home filled with examples of how to live a |
| 12 | | good life; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Rita Keefe was preceded in death by her parents; |
| 14 | | and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, At the time of her death, Rita Keefe was survived |
| 16 | | by her husband, Thomas Q. Keefe Jr.; her children, Thomas Q. |
| 17 | | (Jennifer Mann) Keefe III, Courtney Keefe, Kelli (Clay) |
| 18 | | Spoeneman, and Matthew (Samantha Unsell) Keefe; her grandsons, |
| 19 | | Max Keefe and Jack Spoeneman; her sisters, Rosemary (Carl) |
| 20 | | Allison and Susan (Mark) Carnoali; and her many other family |
| 21 | | members and friends; therefore, be it
