SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Francis "Frank" Myers of Jerseyville, who 
4passed away on November 17, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Myers was born in East Alton to George E. 
6and Mabel W. (Jones) Myers on September 8, 1942; he married 
7Carol Joy Wallace at Castle Air Force Base in California on 
8November 19, 1962; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Frank Myers retired from the Wood River Police 
10Department and the Illinois Secretary of State Office; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Frank Myers was a member of the Wood River Masonic 
12Lodge #1062, the Wood River Moose Lodge #1349, the Wood River 
13Lions Club, and the Ainad Shrine Temple in East St. Louis, 
14Scottish Rite, Consistory of Southern Illinois Valley; he was a 
15life member of the Madison County Police Association and Metro 
16Police Benevolence; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Frank Myers was preceded in death by his parents; 
18his wife, Carol; his daughters, Natalie Myers and Baby Girl 
19Myers; and his brother, Donald Myers Sr.; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Frank Myers is survived by his daughter, Kim

1(David) Varble; his grandchildren, Kassandra Grant, Devin 
2Grant, Amanda (Steven Schreier) Varble, and Natasha Myers; his 
3great-grandchildren, Mila Joy Grant and Konnor Daniel Grant; 
4his siblings, Marcella and Thomas Kuehnel, Shirley Reynolds, 
5Wanda and Theron Ridenbark, and Reverend Clyde and Virginia 
6Myers; and his special nephew, Timothy Myers; therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
9Francis "Frank" Myers and extend our sincere condolences to his 
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
11further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to the family of Frank Myers as an expression of our 
14deepest sympathy.
