SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Nelda M. Lalicker of Peoria, who passed 
4away on November 1, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Nelda Lalicker was born in Tiskilwa to Merrill and 
6Mildred (Draper) Einsele on October 4, 1927; she married Gene 
7Lalicker in Tiskilwa on October 28, 1950; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Nelda Lalicker volunteered at The Center for 
9Prevention of Abuse for many years and was always active in the 
10Duck Race; she was a member of the Eastern Star for many years 
11and was a lifelong member of Prospect United Methodist Church 
12in Dunlap; she loved her family and enjoyed attending her 
13children and grandchildren's activities and watching them 
14grow;  and
  
 
  
15    WHEREAS, Nelda Lalicker was preceded in death by her 
16parents; her two sisters; her brother; and her son, Mark; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Nelda Lalicker is survived by her husband, Gene; 
18her children, Marlowe (Rick) Meinders, Marlene (Jeff) 
19Peterson, and Max (Debbie) Lalicker; her stepdaughter, Diane 
20Lowe; her ten grandchildren; her 21 great-grandchildren; and 
21her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Nelda M. Lalicker and extend our sincere condolences to her 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Nelda Lalicker as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
