SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert L. Kerres of Rock Island. who 
4passed away on November 6, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Kerres was born in Rock Island to Morris 
6and Beatrice Branner Kerres on October 15, 1928; he served in 
7the U.S. Army and married Ruth Ingram in Rock Island on May 16, 
81952; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Robert Kerres worked as a machinist at J.I. Case 
10Company in  Rock Island for almost 40 years, retiring in 1981; 
11and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Robert Kerres was a member of the Moline Church of 
13Christ; he enjoyed bowling and golfing; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Kerres was preceded in death by his 
15parents; his sister-in-law, George Ann Ingram; and his  
16brother-in-law, James Ingram; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Robert Kerres is survived by his wife, Ruth; his 
18children, Betty (Rich) Brems and Jeff (Jody) Kerres; his 
19grandchildren, Brian (Genna) Brems, Kelly Kerres (Sara Lucas), 
20Michael Kerres, and A.J. Brems; his great-grandchildren,

1Kaleix Lucas and Jordan Kerres; and his brother, John "Pete" 
2(Elizabeth) Kerres; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Robert L. Kerres and extend our sincere condolences to his 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to  the family of  Robert Kerres as an expression of 
10our deepest sympathy.
