SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Mary Joan Miller, who passed away on 
4October 10, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Mary Miller was a lifelong resident of Chicago and 
6the northwest suburbs; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Mary Miller graduated from Mundelein College with 
8a degree in dietetics; and
  
 
  
9    WHEREAS, Mary Miller was an avid golfer, skilled bowler, 
10serious card player, and happiest when singing surrounded by 
11family; she especially enjoyed watching her World Series 
12Champion Chicago Cubs play ball; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Mary Miller was the beautiful daughter of Kathryn 
14Clark and Cecil Hugh O'Reilly; the loving wife of the late 
15Raymond Mortimer Miller; the dedicated sister to (deceased) 
16Frank O'Reilly, Kathryn O'Reilly Moulder, and Anne E. O'Reilly; 
17the devoted mother of Mary Kate (Warren MacKenzie), Mary Beth, 
18Anne (Jim Famartino), Raymond Jr., Molly (Paul Davies), 
19Christine, Patricia (Peder Gronset), Mary Ellen, Margaret 
20(John Mulroe), Robert (Krista), Mary Therese (deceased), and 
21Peter (Patti); and the beloved grandmother of 25 and

1great-grandmother of 13; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Mary Joan Miller and extend our sincere condolences to her 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Mary Miller as an expression of our 
9deepest sympathy.
