| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Heather Mills-Rogers of Chicago, who |
| 4 | | passed away on October 15, 2018; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Heather Mills-Rogers attended the John Muir |
| 6 | | Literacy School and Dwight D. Eisenhower Junior High School; |
| 7 | | she graduated from Hoffman Estates High School in 1996, where |
| 8 | | she was active in sports and participated on the swim team all |
| 9 | | four years; she married Alan Rogers (CPD) on May 6, 2005; and |
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Heather Mills-Rogers worked for Starwood Resorts |
| 11 | | (Marriott) and served most recently as the Director of Human |
| 12 | | Resources; and |
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Both at work and with her family, Heather |
| 14 | | Mills-Rogers participated in many fundraising events including |
| 15 | | with the St. Baldrick's Foundation, which works to raise funds |
| 16 | | to help find cures for children with cancer; and |
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Heather Mills-Rogers was an avid fan of the |
| 18 | | Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks; she enjoyed traveling and spending |
| 19 | | time with her family, holidays, and family traditions; her all |
| 20 | | time favorite 1980s movie was Space Camp; and
