SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Erlinda Palacio Nunag of Waukegan, who 
4passed away on September 20, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Erlinda Nunag was a native of Malolos, Bulacan 
6Province, Philippines; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Erlinda Nunag was well known as the co-owner of 
8the Waukegan Oriental Store, where she worked, socialized, and 
9built community for over 35 years; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Erlinda Nunag had a green thumb, and one of her 
11greatest joys was cultivating and caring for her flower and 
12vegetable gardens; she will be remembered for her wit, fashion 
13sense, and incredible cooking; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Erlinda Nunag was preceded in death by her 
15husband, Donato, and her grandson, Steven Nunag Hicks; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Erlinda Nunag is survived by her children, Alice 
17Nunag, Norman Nunag, and Jocelyn Nunag Hicks; her 
18grandchildren, Jasmin Flaminia, Shaun Nunag, Michelle Nunag, 
19Candace Nunag Tardio, and Cindy Nunag; her many 
20great-grandchildren; and her godchildren; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Erlinda Palacio Nunag and extend our sincere condolences to her 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Erlinda Nunag as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
