SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Gary A. Shewell of Moline, who passed 
4away on September 1, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Gary Shewell was born in Moline to Dale and 
6Dorothy Ader Shewell on March 5, 1947; he served in the United 
7States Marine Corps; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Gary Shewell worked at the post office in the 
9processing plant in Milan and was also a mail carrier in Rock 
10Island for 20 years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Gary Shewell was a former member of the Vikings 
12Club; he enjoyed video games; he will be remembered for how 
13much he loved his grandchildren; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Gary Shewell was preceded in death by his parents; 
15and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Gary Shewell is survived by his daughters, 
17Danielle (fiance Justin Huber) and Ashley Shewell; his 
18grandchildren, Jackson, Joseph, and Yiyatte; and the mothers of 
19his children, Anna Shewell and Diana Shewell; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Gary A. Shewell and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Gary Shewell as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
