SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Amanda Marie Stanton of Lockport, who 
4passed away on June 24, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Amanda Stanton was born to Lisa (Boscarino) and 
6Jerry Stanton on April 15, 1992; she graduated from Lockport 
7High School in 2010, where she was a standout softball player; 
8she went on to play softball at Eastern Michigan University, 
9where she was one of the team's leading hitters during her 
10junior and senior seasons; as a junior, she was named first 
11team all conference;  she graduated with a degree in elementary 
12education and a minor in reading and mathematics; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Amanda Stanton began her career as a teaching 
14assistant; at the time of her passing, she worked as the 
15Strategic Math Specialist at Jefferson Junior High School in 
16Naperville and was the head softball coach at Oswego High 
17School; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Amanda Stanton was an impact player, a coach, and 
19a teacher; she taught the girls on her team how to love and 
20respect the game; she will be remembered for her leadership and 
21positivity; and

1    WHEREAS, Amanda Stanton was preceded in death by her 
2grandmother, Barbara Boscarino; and
  
 
3    WHEREAS, Amanda Stanton is survived by her parents; her 
4brothers, Joshua (Michelle) and Jacob Stanton; her 
5grandparents, Carl Boscarino and Harry "Bud" and Georgianna 
6Stanton; and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be 
7it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
10Amanda Marie Stanton and extend our sincere condolences to her 
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
12further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to the family of Amanda Stanton as an expression of 
15our deepest sympathy.
