| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Amanda Marie Stanton of Lockport, who |
| 4 | | passed away on June 24, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Amanda Stanton was born to Lisa (Boscarino) and |
| 6 | | Jerry Stanton on April 15, 1992; she graduated from Lockport |
| 7 | | High School in 2010, where she was a standout softball player; |
| 8 | | she went on to play softball at Eastern Michigan University, |
| 9 | | where she was one of the team's leading hitters during her |
| 10 | | junior and senior seasons; as a junior, she was named first |
| 11 | | team all conference; she graduated with a degree in elementary |
| 12 | | education and a minor in reading and mathematics; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Amanda Stanton began her career as a teaching |
| 14 | | assistant; at the time of her passing, she worked as the |
| 15 | | Strategic Math Specialist at Jefferson Junior High School in |
| 16 | | Naperville and was the head softball coach at Oswego High |
| 17 | | School; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Amanda Stanton was an impact player, a coach, and |
| 19 | | a teacher; she taught the girls on her team how to love and |
| 20 | | respect the game; she will be remembered for her leadership and |
| 21 | | positivity; and
