SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Hubert S. Brown of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on July 20, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Hubert Brown was born in Warren County to Ralph E. 
6and Grace McIntyre Brown on March 7, 1922; he served overseas 
7with the United States Army during World War II; he married 
8Nancy E. Fausett in New Boston on November 27, 1947; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Hubert Brown worked for the Rock Island School 
10District as a custodian at Denkmann Elementary School for 29 
11years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Hubert Brown was an avid fan of the St. Louis 
13Cardinals, and he enjoyed watching sports; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Hubert Brown was preceded in death by his wife, 
15Nancy; his parents; his sisters, Mildred Slaby, Marjorie Lewis, 
16Veryl Johnson, June Christian, Margaret Merkle, Bonnie 
17Saunders, and Izora Callahan; and his brothers, Gerald, 
18Willard, Delmar, and Dale Brown; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Hubert Brown is survived by his brothers-in-law, 
20Jerry and Rodney Fausett; and his many nieces, nephews, and

1other loving family members and friends; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Hubert S. Brown and extend our sincere condolences to his 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Hubert Brown as an expression of our 
9deepest sympathy.
