SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Sandra Mary "Sandy" Rukstales of Zion, 
4who passed away on June 6, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Sandy Rukstales was born in Waukegan to Edmund and 
6Mary DuBois on November 24, 1960; she attended Zion-Benton High 
7School and married James Rukstales on June 29, 1985; and
  
 
  
8    WHEREAS, Sandy Rukstales worked at Ferro Pfanstiehl for 
9over 25 years; she also worked for several years at Rolling 
10Hills Manor as a CNA; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Sandy Rukstales had a passion for arts and crafts 
12and took a variety of  classes, including photography and 
13pottery; she also loved to read and construct her  Christmas 
14village; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Sandy Rukstales was preceded in death by her 
16mother, Mary DuBois, and her daughter, Andrea O'Malley; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Sandy Rukstales is survived by her husband of over 
1830 years, James Rukstales; her children, Jessica (Nick) Wessel, 
19Jennifer Rukstales, and Nicholas Rukstales; her nephew, 
20Michael DuBois; her grandchildren,  Faith O'Malley, Brice

1O'Malley, Dustin Rukstales Zeien, and Aiden O'Malley; her 
2father, Edmund (Linda) DuBois; and her siblings, Cindy DuBois, 
3Chuck (Val) DuBois, Sharon (Bryan) Ballman, David (Lily) 
4DuBois, Jason DuBois, and Eric DuBois; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7Sandra Mary "Sandy" Rukstales, and extend our sincere 
8condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
9her; and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to  the family of  Sandy Rukstales as an expression of 
12our deepest sympathy.
