SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert Alan "Bob" King of East Moline, 
4who passed away on June 2, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bob King was born in Moline to Thomas Jr. and 
6Lilian Thompson King on May 12, 1947; he served in the United 
7States Army during the Vietnam Era; he married Diane Ransom in 
8Rock Island on December 13, 1975; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Bob King retired from the International 
10Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 145 as an electrician; 
11and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Bob King enjoyed woodworking, bird watching, 
13hunting, and fishing; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Bob King was preceded in death by his parents; his 
15sisters, Patricia "Pat" Green and Gloria Heydeman; and his 
16brother, Richard "Richy" King; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Bob King is survived by his wife, Diane; his 
18daughter, Jennifer King; his son, Jess King; his granddaughter, 
19Lily Goldsberry; his sister, Marty Jeglum; and his brothers, 
20Thomas "Odge" King and Carl King; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Robert Alan "Bob" King and extend our sincere condolences to 
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Bob King as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
