| 2 | | WHEREAS, The Kane County Fair was founded in 1868 in Kane |
| 3 | | County, Illinois as one of the premier county fairs; and
|
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Throughout its 150 year history, the Kane County |
| 5 | | Fair's activities have been held in several locations, |
| 6 | | including Aurora, Elgin, and St. Charles, but the fair has |
| 7 | | never lost sight of its rich history of pioneering spirit, |
| 8 | | industry, agriculture, farming, ranching, entrepreneurship, |
| 9 | | food, family, and fun; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, For 150 years, the fair has been a focal point for |
| 11 | | families; youth throughout the years have found lasting |
| 12 | | memories, opportunities for leadership, and simple, fun |
| 13 | | traditions to pass on to the next generation; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, The Kane County Fair has served the Kane County |
| 15 | | agricultural community for 150 years, hosting 4-H events at the |
| 16 | | annual fair for beef, dairy, goat, horse, pony, poultry, |
| 17 | | rabbit, sheep, and swine judging, as well as an annual Blue |
| 18 | | Ribbon Sale; and

| 19 | | WHEREAS, The Kane County Fair has hosted its annual event |
| 20 | | in the summer to entertain the Fox Valley community with |
| 21 | | family-friendly events, to promote the importance of |
