SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Patricia Jane "Patty" Hayes, who passed 
4away on March 25, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Patty Hayes was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to 
6Larry E. and Judith M. (Cobb) Hayes on September 20, 1962; she 
7graduated from Marquette Catholic High School in Alton, 
8Illinois in 1980; in 1984, she graduated from Eastern Illinois 
9University with a degree in Speech Communications; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Patty Hayes traveled all over the world 
11coordinating and organizing events while serving in her various 
12positions over the last 30 years; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Patty Hayes was a member of St. Vincent DePaul 
14Church in Chicago; she enjoyed assisting others and loved time 
15spent with her family and friends; she will be dearly missed by 
16all who knew her; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Patty Hayes was preceded in death by her 
18grandparents, Edwin and Doris Cobb and Hubert and Grace Hayes; 
19and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Patty Hayes is survived by her parents; her

1brothers, Michael (Alice) Hayes and Gregory (Valerie) Hayes; 
2and her nieces, Hallie, Caroline, and Caty Jane Hayes; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Patricia Jane "Patty" Hayes and extend our sincere condolences 
7to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be 
8it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Patty Hayes as an expression of our 
11deepest sympathy.
