SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of John Michael "Mike" Cummins of Homer, who 
4passed away on February 8, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Mike Cummins was born in Danville to John Victor 
6Cummins and Cynthia Dudley DeGroat on September 15, 1970; he 
7married Cynthia Rund in Hindsboro on June 21, 2003; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Mike Cummins was a truck driver for Crop 
9Productions Services in Sidney; he also served as a volunteer 
10firefighter for the Homer Fire Department and many others; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Mike Cummins enjoyed fishing with his grandkids 
12and spending time with family; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Mike Cummins was preceded in death by his mother 
14and one brother; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Mike Cummins is survived by his wife, Cynthia; his 
16father and stepmother, John and Marlene Cummins; his daughter, 
17Angela (Derrick) Hall; his son, Jacob (Melissa) Sanders; his 
18daughter, Brittany (Macon) Warfel; his daughter, Lindsay 
19(Austin) Troha; his sister, Molly (Ancil) Bailey Carter; and 
20his grandchildren, Brayden Michael, Dekota Jo, Jared Carter,

1Jaxton Lane, Caiden Andrew, Makynze Isybel, Maddox Seeley, and 
2Gideon Joseph; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5John Michael "Mike" Cummins, and extend our sincere condolences 
6to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be 
7it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to  the family of  Mike Cummins as an expression of our 
10deepest sympathy.
