| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of William Charles "Chuck" Reed, who passed |
| 4 | | away on April 1, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Charles Reed was born in Millington, Tennessee to |
| 6 | | Ionia Grant and Rufus Lamar Reed on March 1, 1956; he attended |
| 7 | | Thornton Township High School and then transferred to Bremen; |
| 8 | | he married Juliet Reed in 1988; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Charles Reed began his career working in the |
| 10 | | housekeeping department of Ingalls Health System; his hard work |
| 11 | | and dedication to serving others helped him get promoted to |
| 12 | | maintenance and engineering; he worked for Ingalls for 13 years |
| 13 | | and then moved on to various other industrial management roles; |
| 14 | | and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Charles Reed enjoyed traveling, sporting events, |
| 16 | | concerts, and music; he took pride in his appearance and was |
| 17 | | know for his sense of fashion; he had a deep commitment to his |
| 18 | | family, was a loving father, and a loyal friend; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Charles Reed was preceded in death by his father; |
| 20 | | his grandmother, Earline Townsend; his grandfather, Dorsey |
| 21 | | Townsend; his brother, Kevin Grand; and his niece, Monica Reed; |
