SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Woodson A. "Woody" Garrett of Woodstock, 
4who passed away on March 9, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Woody Garrett was born to Finis and Rosa Annie 
6(Alley) Garrett on November 13, 1939; he married Carol 
7Okrasinski on October 20, 1963; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Woody Garrett loved the outdoors and being on his 
9motorcycle; he was a member of the Christian Motorcycle 
10Association and the International Brotherhood of Motorcycle 
11Campers; he supported his grandchildren in all of their 
12activities and made it a priority to attend any event in which 
13they were involved; and
  
 
  
14    WHEREAS, Woody Garrett was preceded in death by his 
15brother, Finis Harold and his sister, Francis Novelene; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Woody Garrett is survived by his wife, Carol; his 
17daughters, Beth (Vik) Burg-Krishnan and Lisle (Nathan) 
18Stalter; his grandchildren, Abbi, Jason, Nathan, and Rebecca; 
19and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Woodson A. "Woody" Garrett and extend our sincere condolences 
3to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Woody Garrett as an expression of 
7our deepest sympathy.
