SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Evelyn M. Davidson of Silvis, who passed 
4away on March 10, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Evelyn Davidson was born in Moline to Frederick 
6and Eva Delene Osborne on November 19, 1922; she served in the 
7United States Navy during World War II; she married Oscar E. 
8Davidson in Moline in June 1950; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Evelyn Davidson retired from John Deere Harvester 
10as a secretary after 22 years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Evelyn Davidson was a member of the Clara Lodge 
12Vikings Club and the Hope United Church of Christ in Moline; 
13she enjoyed traveling and made several trips to Europe and 
14Canada; she was an avid player of bridge, euchre, and bingo; 
15she enjoyed many of the outdoor activities hosted by the Moline 
16Activity Center; and
  
  
17    WHEREAS, Evelyn Davidson was preceded in death by her 
18parents; her husband, Red; and her brothers, Robert and Arthur; 
19and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Evelyn Davidson is survived by her children, Linda

1and Randy (Margaret); her nieces and nephews; her 
2grandchildren; and her great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Evelyn M. Davidson and extend our sincere condolences to her 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Evelyn Davidson as an expression of 
10our deepest sympathy.
