SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert Lee "Bob" Jamieson Sr. of Port 
4Byron, who passed away on March 6, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bob Jamieson Sr. was born in Moline to Wallace and 
6Emma Peterson Jamieson on June 21, 1927; he served in the 
7United States Army in 1945; during the Korean Conflict, he 
8served in the United States Navy; he married Marilyn Anderson 
9in 1949; he later married Arlene Johnston in 1969; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Bob Jamieson Sr. co-owned and operated Jamieson's 
11Garage in Moline with his brother, Verne; he retired from John 
12Deere Harvester in East Moline in 1992; and
  
 
  
13    WHEREAS, Bob Jamieson Sr. was preceded in death by his 
14parents; his wife, Arlene; his son, Robert L. Jamieson Jr.; his 
15sister-in-law; and his brother-in-law; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Bob Jamieson Sr. is survived by his son, John 
17Jamieson; his grandchildren, Stacy Boatman, Mandy Steinmetz, 
18Eric (Jami) Jamieson, and Andrea Jamieson; his many 
19great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Verne Jamieson and 
20Marilyn Ade; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Robert Lee "Bob" Jamieson Sr. and extend our sincere 
4condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
5him; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Bob Jamieson Sr. as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
