SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Clifford "Cliff" Kamholz of Marengo, who 
4passed away on February 27, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Cliff Kamholz was born in Belvidere to Walter and 
6Nellie (Bielema) Kamholz on August 16, 1947; he married Shirley 
7E. Willis in Marengo on August 16, 1947; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Cliff Kamholz was Marengo's Borden milkman for 
9many years; he retired from Warner Electric, where he was a 
10delivery driver, in 1990; after his retirement, he was a 
11part-time bartender for Sam's Tavern in Marengo for 22 years; 
12and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Cliff Kamholz coached Marengo Little League and 
14Babe Ruth baseball, as well as men's fast pitch softball; he 
15enjoyed golf, bowling, and a good pinochle game; he was an avid 
16fan of the Chicago Cubs; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Cliff Kamholz was preceded in death by his 
18parents; his wife, Shirley; his infant daughter, Nancy; his 
19son, Gary; his brother, Wilbur; and his sister, Beverly; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Cliff Kamholz is survived by his children, Greg

1Kamholz and Connie (Bill) Davidson; his daughter-in-law, 
2Jackie Kamholz; his grandchildren, Cory (Katie) Kamholz, Adam 
3Kamholz, Tyler (Tammy) Kamholz, Zachary (Karley) Davidson, 
4Cole (Beth) Davidson, and Alex (Dan) Krahl; and his 
5great-grandchildren, Elise and Will Kamholz, Anabell Kamholz, 
6Theadore Davidson, and Luci Davidson; therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
9Clifford "Cliff" Kamholz and extend our sincere condolences to 
10his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
11further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to the family of Cliff Kamholz as an expression of 
14our deepest sympathy.
