SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Carol M. (Ligos) Tooley of Joliet, who 
4passed away on February 18, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Carol Tooley was a lifelong resident of Joliet; 
6she attended St. Cyril & Methodius and St. Thaddeus Schools; 
7she graduated from Providence Catholic High School and Western 
8Illinois University; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Carol Tooley was a compassionate reading teacher, 
10and she enjoyed providing for others; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Carol Tooley was a devout Catholic and a faithful  
12friend; she funded a variety of charities; she was a loyal 
13wife, and a nurturing mother and grandmother; she cherished and 
14valued time spent with family and friends; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Carol Tooley was preceded in death by her parents, 
16Louis J. and Wanda A (Ustaszewski) Ligos Sr.; her brother and 
17sister-in-law, Louis J. and Eileen Ligos Jr.; her grandparents, 
18Paul and Mary Ustaszewski and John and Mary Ligos; and her many 
19other friends and family; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Carol Tooley is survived by her husband, Roger;

1her daughters, Bethany (Marco Albores) Tooley and Alicia (Jason 
2Berg) Tooley; and her grandchildren, Joaquin Antonio Albores 
3and Elowyn Rae Tooley-Berg; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Carol M. Tooley and extend our sincere condolences to her 
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Carol Tooley as an expression of our 
11deepest sympathy.
