SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Thomas "Tom" G. Gordon, also known as 
4"The Greek," who passed away on February 22, 2018; and


  
 
5    WHEREAS, Tom Gordon loved animals and the environment; he 
6enjoyed fishing; he was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and the 
7Chicago Bears; he offered advice to his children whether they 
8liked it or not; he firmly believed in treating all people with 
9respect; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Tom Gordon was preceded in death by his wife, 
11Diane and his grandson, Jared Gordon; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Tom Gordon is survived by his children, Kevin 
13(Gina) Gordon, Luke Gordon, and Careen Gordon; his grandsons, 
14Josh (Brittney) Gordon and Tyler Gordon; and his many brothers 
15and sisters; therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
18Thomas "Tom" G. Gordon and extend our sincere condolences to 
19his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
