SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Lorin E. Riddle of Clinton, who passed 
4away on February 25, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lorin Riddle was born in Clinton to Charles Isam 
6and Goldie Mae (Page) Riddle on March 16, 1929; he married Rita 
7Rosalie Brennan in Clinton on November 1, 1949; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Lorin Riddle was a lifelong resident of Creek 
9Township and farmed for many years in DeWitt County; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Lorin Riddle was a mentor for students involved in 
11farming internships at Parkland College; his memberships 
12included: assistant beef superintendent for the Illinois State 
13Fair, Illinois Soybean Association booster, and the American 
14Angus Association; he was past member of the Weldon/Lane Co-op. 
15and was involved with the Weldon 4-H Club for over 20 years; he 
16was a proud grandpa and great-grandpa; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Lorin Riddle was preceded in death by his wife, 
18Rita; his parents; four brothers; and two sisters; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Lorin Riddle is survived by his children, Nan 
20(Michael) Crang, Chris (Nancy) Riddle, Craig (Madelyn) Riddle,

1Lindon (Rebecca) Riddle, and Camill (Brian) Tedrick; his 
2grandchildren, Adam (Karen) Crang, Kristin Riddle, Brian 
3(Elizabeth) Riddle, Lorin J. (Kaye) Riddle, Arnall Riddle, 
4Elsie (Brandon) Hedgspeth, and Ashton Tedrick; five 
5great-grandchildren; and his sister, Louise "Lou" Gibson; 
6therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
9Lorin E. Riddle, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
11further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to  the family of  Lorin Riddle as an expression of our 
14deepest sympathy.
