SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Paul L. Gerlich of Moline, who passed 
4away on February 21, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Paul Gerlich was born in Rock Island to Raymond 
6and Lydia (Morrison) Gerlich; he was a veteran of the United 
7States Army and served in the Korean War; he married Beverly 
8Lundgren on May 20, 1961; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Paul Gerlich retired from John Deere Harvester in 
10East Moline after 40 years of service; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Paul Gerlich was a member of St. Mary's Catholic 
12Church in Rock Island; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Paul Gerlich was preceded in death by his wife, 
14Beverly; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Paul Gerlich is survived by his children, Dan 
16(Laurie) Gerlich, David (Walt Wright) Gerlich, and Teresa (Bob) 
17Carroll; and his grandchildren, Paul, Samantha, Lydia, and 
18Izabella; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Paul L. Gerlich and extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

6presented to the family of Paul Gerlich as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
