| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Walter J. Grygiel of Crystal Lake, who |
| 4 | | passed away on February 12, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Walter Grygiel was born in Chicago to Lawrence and |
| 6 | | Agatha (Jakubowicz) Grygiel on September 16, 1921; he served |
| 7 | | his country as an Aviation Cadet for the Navy with Army |
| 8 | | Military services from 1942 until 1946; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Walter Grygiel had a strong work ethic and retired |
| 10 | | as a lithographer at the age of 70; he was a creative and |
| 11 | | skilled craftsman with a passion for technology; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Walter Grygiel was a member of the Knights of |
| 13 | | Columbus 3880 Fourth Degree for St. Thomas Church in Crystal |
| 14 | | Lake; he served his church community by preparing the monthly |
| 15 | | newsletter for the Knights of Columbus; he had a lifelong |
| 16 | | interest in fishing, aviation, and astronomy; he found joy in |
| 17 | | music, sports, internet searches on topics of interest, and |
| 18 | | discussions about current politics; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Walter Grygiel was preceded in death by his wife, |
| 20 | | Lorraine; and
|
