SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Jannie Lee, who passed away on January 
410, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jannie Lee was born in Panola, Alabama to Lucinda 
6Little and Louis Oliver on June 12, 1923; she married Standard 
7Lee in 1940 and they settled in Chicago in 1946; and
  
 
  
8    WHEREAS, Jannie Lee joined the West Point Baptist Church in 
91970, where she served on the Mother's Board; she later became 
10a member of the South Park Baptist Church; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Jannie Lee was preceded in death by her parents; 
12her husband, Standard; her siblings, James Oliver and Otis 
13Little; and her children, Lonnie, Sadie "Pinkie", and Standard 
14Jr. "Bay Bay"; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Jannie Lee is survived by her children, Dan, 
16Jerry, Geraldine, Bob, Betty, Delores, Elaine, Wilbert, and 
17Gloria; 36 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren; 39 
18great-great-grandchildren; and two 
19great-great-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Jannie Lee, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, 
3friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to  the family of  Jannie Lee as an expression of our 
6deepest sympathy.
