| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Marlon Allen "Al" Page, who passed away |
| 4 | | on February 13, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Al Page was born in Peoria to Cenora Page on |
| 6 | | February 4, 1975; he attended grade and middle schools in |
| 7 | | Peoria; he graduated from Lanphier High School in 1994; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Al Page loved mentoring youth and was employed as |
| 9 | | a youth counselor at Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center; |
| 10 | | he also served as an assistant basketball coach at Lanphier |
| 11 | | High School, where he spearheaded several fund raisers to |
| 12 | | offset expenses incurred by the boys basketball team; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Al Page loved his family, and he took his role as |
| 14 | | a father seriously; he had a passion for cooking, and enjoyed |
| 15 | | cooking for his family and friends; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Al Page was preceded in death by his sister, |
| 17 | | Cenora Page, and his grandmother, Rosie Lee Page, with whom he |
| 18 | | shared a special bond; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Al Page is survived by his mother, Cenora; his |
| 20 | | stepfather, James Beverly; his daughter, Mya Page; his sons, |
