| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Timmy "Tim" Lee Nelson of Carrollton, who |
| 4 | | passed away on January 16, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Tim Nelson was born in Alton to Paul B. Nelson Jr. |
| 6 | | and Nancy Carol (Guffey) Forsythe on August 7, 1975; he |
| 7 | | attended Civic Memorial High School, and then transferred to |
| 8 | | Calhoun High School, where he was a player on the 1992 Calhoun |
| 9 | | Warrior State Football Championship Team, and graduated in |
| 10 | | 1993; he graduated from ITT Technical School in 1997; he |
| 11 | | married Casey Scott in Destin, Florida on May 11, 2013; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Tim Nelson was employed as a client implementation |
| 13 | | specialist at Thompson Reuters; in 2008, he was named head |
| 14 | | football coach at Marquette Catholic High School in Alton; he |
| 15 | | then served as the head football coach at Dupo High School; in |
| 16 | | 2013, he returned home to Calhoun High School and served as the |
| 17 | | assistant football coach until the time of his passing; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Tim Nelson inspired others with his |
| 19 | | determination; his son and wife were the light of his life; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Tim Nelson was preceded in death by his mother, |
| 21 | | Carol Forsythe; his father-in-law, Albert W. Scott III; his |
