SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Roy James Weis Jr. of Moline, who passed 
4away on January 28, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Roy Weis Jr. was born in Muscatine, Iowa to Roy 
6James Sr. and Louella May Ratel Weis on May 31, 1945; he 
7graduated from Moline High School in 1964 and served in the 
8United States Air Force; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Roy Weis Jr. was employed at Eagle Signal for 15 
10years, Montgomery Elevator for 15 years, and Bandag for three 
11years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Roy Weis Jr. enjoyed working on cars and helping 
13his friends and family with projects; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Roy Weis Jr. was preceded in death by his parents; 
15his sister, Vicki; and his brother, Ralph; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Roy Weis Jr. is survived by his brothers, Rodger 
17(Randy) Weis, Robert Weis, Ronald Weis, and Richard Weis; 
18therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Roy James Weis Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Roy Weis Jr. as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
