SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of George P. Irick Jr. of Congerville, who 
4passed away on January 26, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, George Irick Jr. was born in Berwyn to George P. 
6and Jacqueline Jenkins Irick on April 30, 1949; he married 
7Susan E. Walton in Winfield on February 12, 1972; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, George Irick Jr. worked as an IT Analyst at State 
9Farm in Bloomington for 14 years; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, George Irick Jr. was a member of Our Savior 
11Lutheran Church in Winfield; he was a lifelong member of the 
12NRA, a member of Single Action Shooting Society (SASS), a 
13member of the AOPA, and a Shriner; he was also a 4-H air pistol 
14instructor and a hunting and outdoor skills instructor; he was 
15the founding member of the Midwest Rangers Mounted Shooting 
16Club and had recently been appointed to the Woodford County 
17Board of Appeals; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, George Irick Jr. was preceded in death by his 
19parents; and his brother, Jacque Irick; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, George Irick Jr. is survived by his wife, Susan;

1his sisters, Cynthia (Rob) Skidmore and Judith (Dale) 
2Hammersmith; his many nieces and nephews; and his horses, Bill 
3and Yellow; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6George P. Irick Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to his 
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of George Irick Jr. as an expression of 
11our deepest sympathy.
