SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Roger James Peddle, of Lake Forest, who 
4passed away on January 4, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Roger Peddle was a veteran of World War II; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Roger Peddle was a longtime resident of Lake 
7Forest, a member of the Lake Forest American Legion, and a 
8devoted family man; and
  
 

  
9    WHEREAS, Roger Peddle was the husband of the late Jean 
10Swarthout Peddle; the father of Linda (Nicholas) Ganzer and 
11Laura (fiance Chris Kennett) Hansen; the grandfather of 
12Elizabeth Gardner, Gregory Ganzer, Tyler (Liza) Hansen, Carter 
13Hansen, and Lee (fiance Maureen Curley) Hansen; the 
14great-grandfather of Emily, Quinn, Riley, Braden, and 
15Alexander; the brother of Carol (Bruce) Becker, Henry 
16(Josephine) Peddle, the late Vincent, the late Ruth Jacobs, the 
17late Eugene (Cecelia), the late Monica Baldi, and the late 
18Lawrence (Shirley) Peddle; and the loving uncle of many nieces 
19and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
21ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Roger James Peddle and extend our sincere condolences to his 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
