SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Richard J. "Rich" Boelkow of McHenry, who 
4passed away on December 11, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Rich Boelkow was born in Chicago to William and 
6Lillian (Mueller) Boelkow on August 7, 1941; he served in the 
7United States Army; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Rich Boelkow enjoyed regularly walking his 
9beloved dog, Cody, at Chain O' Lakes State Park and meeting up 
10with his friends at the concession stand; he was an avid 
11fisherman and enjoyed fishing in northern Wisconsin, 
12especially with his son; and
  
 
  
13    WHEREAS, Rich Boelkow was preceded in death by his parents 
14and his wife, Patricia A. Boelkow; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Rich Boelkow is survived by his children, 
16Christine (Steve) Meyer and Russ (Sandy) Boelkow; his 
17grandchildren, Stephanie (Jay) Scarbrough, Heather Dirr, and 
18Bradley and Taylor Boelkow; and his great-grandchildren, 
19Hannah Scarbrough and Ethan Dirr; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Richard J. "Rich"  Boelkow, and extend our sincere condolences 
3to his  family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be 
4it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Rich Boelkow as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
