| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Orville Wayne Childers of Waukegan, who |
| 4 | | passed away on August 18, 2017; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Wayne Childers was a veteran of the United States |
| 6 | | Army, where he served for 25 years; he then worked as a |
| 7 | | communication management specialist with the civil service for |
| 8 | | 15 years; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Wayne Childers was a 33rd degree Mason, a Blue |
| 10 | | Lodge Master Shriner, a member of the VFW and The Military |
| 11 | | Order of the Cooties of Waukegan, the Waukegan Little Fort |
| 12 | | Lions, the Lake County Crime Stoppers; he volunteered for Vista |
| 13 | | Health Hospital and was an acting Lay Leader of First United |
| 14 | | Methodist Church of Waukegan and Wainae Methodist Church of |
| 15 | | Oahu, Hawaii; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Wayne Childers, along with his wife, Norma, |
| 17 | | traveled the country and abroad; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Wayne Childers was preceded in death by his |
| 19 | | parents, Verline and Kewin Childers; and his daughter, Karen |
| 20 | | Childers; and
