SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Carl G. Schneekloth of Rock Island, who passed away on November 13, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Carl Schneekloth was born in Luverne, Minnesota to Henry and Mildred (Alsman) Schneekloth on January 11, 1930; he served in the U.S. Army National Guard for three years; he married Audrey Hicks with whom he had two children; he later married Linda Martin in Silvis on July 2, 1964; and

WHEREAS, Carl Schneekloth worked as tool and die maker at John Deere; and

WHEREAS, Carl Schneekloth was a member of the Cornerstone Christian Church in Moline; he was an avid sports fan, specifically of the Moline Maroons and Chicago Cubs; he never met a stranger and he loved to talk to anyone and had many friends; he was also proud to be an active member of the Camden Serenity Group of AA; and

WHEREAS, Carl Schneekloth was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Susan Schneekloth; his sister, Joan Canfield; his brother, Dennis Schneekloth; and his aunt and uncle, Anne and Ray Sayer; and

WHEREAS, Carl Schneekloth is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Steven Schneekloth, Tammy (Chris) Cox, and Gina Rouse; his grandchildren, Renee Schneekloth, Ashley Hayes, Jacob Schneekloth, Emma Schneekloth, Mallory Bowling, Hayley Bowling, and Savanah Rouse; four great-grandchildren, including Madelynn Rose Hayes; his sister, Mary Sandler; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Carl G. Schneekloth, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Carl Schneekloth as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
