SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert L. Myers of East Moline, who 
4passed away on November 5, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Myers was born in Galesburg to Charles L. 
6and Helen G. Smith Myers on October 12, 1947; he married 
7Beverly Clark in Monmouth on October 22, 1967; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Robert Myers was a staff sergeant in the United 
9States Army for over 14 years; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Robert Myers enjoyed fishing, hunting, and making 
11people laugh; he loved spending time with his grandchildren; 
12and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Robert Myers was preceded in death by his parents; 
14and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Robert Myers is survived by his wife, Beverly; his 
16son, Robert Charles Myers; his daughter, Marla Mesa; his 
17grandchildren, Joel Mesa, Justin Mesa, and Conner Myers; his 
18great-granddaughters, Aliana Mesa and Skyla Mesa; his brother, 
19William (Yung) Myers; and his sisters, Jane Horton and Betty 
20Watson; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Robert L. Myers and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Robert Myers as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
