SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Violet Scharenberg of Marengo, who passed 
4away on October 29, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Violet Scharenberg was born in Columbus, Ohio to 
6Giovanni and Donata (Pignatiello) Vannicelli on August 10, 
71924; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Violet Scharenberg will most likely be remembered 
9as "Pancake the Clown"; Pancake painted faces at all of the 
10community events for over 20 years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Violet Scharenberg was an active member of the 
12First Presbyterian Church of Marengo; she enjoyed gardening and 
13flowers; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Violet Scharenberg was preceded in death by her 
15husband, David; her parents; and seven siblings; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Violet Scharenberg is survived by her children, 
17Linda (John) Axtell, David (Vicki) Scharenberg, Lee (Bonnie) 
18Scharenberg, Donald (Cindy) Scharenberg, Cellast (Glen) Luck, 
19and Cindy (Dan) Johnson; her 19 grandchildren; her many 
20great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Phil, Tony, Mary, and

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Violet Scharenberg and extend our sincere condolences to her 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Violet Scharenberg as an expression 
9of our deepest sympathy.
